  Lemon juice kills lots of odours.
  Are you thinking shrimp/fish smell, or catfish stinkbait smell? Use rubber gloves for the latter, or only handle your hook in the bait with needle nose pliers.

  I don't know if this will work for your problem, but it works for garlic. Take a stainless steel utensil and rub it all over your hands under running water.
